Extensive Lectures Series on the Literary works of Dr. Alam Shah Khan

On the occasion of the death anniversary of Dr. Alam Shah Khan, a three-day lecture series entitled "Alam Shah Khan: Personality and Creativity" was organized by Alam Shah Khan Yaadgaar Committee. Program coordinator and Prof.Alam Shah Khan's daughter, Dr. Tarana Parveen, reported that on the first day, the editor of Banas Jan and Delhi University professor, Dr. Pallav, and senior writer Dr. Durgaprasad Agrawal went live on Alam Shah Khan Yaadgaar Committee 's facebook page and reminisced memories of Professor Alam Shah Khan and discussed his contribution to the development of modern storywriting along with the role of literature in the present. Shri Vijay Ranchan, former IAS officer and film critic, described his story "Kiraye Ki Kokh" as an enthralling story and called him the only Hindi storyteller who wrote his stories in the same mood [Vibhatsa Rasa]till the end. Jaipur's senior writer Ish Madhu Talwar discussed various aspects of the stories "Kiraye Ki Kokh" and "Ek Aur Maut," while Dr. Hemendra Chandalia discussed "Maut Ka Mazhab," and Ashish Singh discussed the various aspects of the story "Cheer Haran Ke Baad." During the program, Dr. Pranu Shukla, Dr. Indira Jain, Dr. Gopal Sahar, Dr. Pramila Chandalia, Dr. Hemendra Paneri alalysed other stories while Prof. Srinivasan Ayyar critically analysed the story "A-Naar."
