Lecture Series: Subaltern Diaspora in Hindi Short Stories, 2022
On the occasion of Professor Alam Shah Khan's 19th death anniversary, a lecture series was organized on the topic "Subaltern Diaspora in Hindi Stories" in Shramjeevi College. The main speaker, author, and former D.G.D of Doordarshan, Krishna Kalpit, said that Alam Shah Khan has gained popularity due to his creativity. Farooq Afridi OSD(officer on special duty ) to Chief Minister, writer and satirist , opined that Alam Shah Khan is a great personality of Mewar. He is a priceless gem born on the land of Mewar, who is still alive because of his stories. Just like Chandra Dhar Guleri is remembered for "Usne Kaha Tha," Alam Shah Khan's stories are celebrated till date. While presiding over the event, Professor, poet, and critic Satyanarayan Vyas eulogized Alam Shah Khan's personality and works. The guests also realeased the collection of short stories "Ek Sau Aath" by Prof. Tarana Parveen during the program. Dr. Sarvat Khan also lauded the narrative and composition of the stories. The program was moderated by by Dr. Ugrasen Rao.
Lecture Series 2021: Alam Shah Khan : Personality and Creativity
On the occasion of the death anniversary of Prof. Alam Shah Khan, a three-day lecture series entitled "Alam Shah Khan: Personality and Creativity" was organised by Alam Shah Khan Yaadgaar Committee. Programme coordinator and Prof. Alam Shah Khan's daughter, Prof. Tarana Parveen, reported that on the first day, the editor of Banas Jan and Delhi University professor Dr. Pallav, and senior writer Dr. Durgaprasad Agrawal, shared memories of Professor Alam Shah Khan and discussed his contribution to the development of modern storytelling along with the significance of his literature in the present times. Shri Vijay Ranchan, former IAS officer and film critic, described his story "Kiraye Ki Kokh" as an enthralling story and called him the only Hindi storyteller who wrote his stories in the same mood ,(Vibhats Rasa) till the end. Jaipur's senior writer Ish Madhu Talwar discussed multifacated dimensions of his stories "Kiraye Ki Kokh" and "Ek Aur Maut," while Prof. Hemendra Chandalia conversed about"Maut Ka Mazhab," and Ashish Singh reviewed the various aspects of the story "Cheer Haran Ke Baad. Prof. Srinivasan Ayyar critically analyzed the story
"A-Naar."." In this program, Dr. Pranu Shukla, Dr. Indira Jain, Dr. Gopal Sahar, Dr. Pramila Chandalia, Dr. Hemendra Paneri deliberated on his foresightedness in other stories .
Webinar,2020
On May 17, 2020, a webinar was organized by Alam Shah Khan Yaadgaar Committee to commemorate the 17th death anniversary of the renowned story writer Alam Shah Khan. The webinar was attended by several well-known personalities of the country, including his contemporary writers, friends, and students who expressed their views on Alam Shah Khan's personality and literary works. Professor Durga Prasad Agrawal of Jaipur opined that despite a long career, Alam Shah Khan did not write many stories. He met his characters, discussed their lives and then wrote it. After listening to the language around him seriously, instead of writing it as it is, he enriched it by constructing and reconstructing it. Professor Madhav Hada mentioned the importance of writing short stories by Alam Shah Khan. Mumbai-based author and film critic Jitendra Bhatia, recalled his experiences while working with Kamleshwar during the Parallel Story Movement, said that everyone was bedazzled after reading Alam Shah Khan's highly sensitive stories. He also highlighted the serious discussion he had with Professor Sahib.
A Memorial Seminar on 16th Death Anniversary: Personality and Works 2019
On the 16th death anniversary of Professor Alam Shah Khan, a seminar was organized by Professor Alam Shah Khan Yaadgaar Committee and Manikya Lal Verma Shramjeevi College. Ved Dan Sudhir said that Khan Sahib's writings have always worked towards bringing about betterment in society. Khan Sahib used to get angry too, but his anger was directed towards the existing injustice in society. The characters in his stories, who triumph over adversity, evoke human empathy, and exasperate the reader towards their suffering and the prejudiced social system. Professor Manju Chaturvedi said that Professor Khan's literature ultimately gives rise to compassion, which is the hallmark of great literature.
Book Release ,2019
On January 22, 2019, Alam Shah Khan Yaadgaar Committee organised a book release event of Professor Alam Shah Khan's book written in 1989 "Meera: Looktatwik Aadhayan" republished by Sahitya Bhandar in 2019 , edited by Prof, Pallav New Delhi . The event was held at the City Press Club in Udaipur. Critic Prof. Naval Kishore Sharma said that Dr. Khan has provided a new perspective for understanding Meera and analysing her environment . Prof. Madhav Hada said that Professor Khan attempted to place Meera in her social, cultural, and historical perspectives before society, understanding her personality in her regional context for the first time. In the editorial comments, Pallav of DU said that this book is the first analysis of Meera from people 's perspective . Writer and poet Rajni Kulshreshtha said that Meera's poems beautifully describe social concerns and human relationships, which have been included in this book. Dr. Tarana Parveen and Dr. Tabassum Khan welcomed the audience, Dr. Ugrasen Rao convened the programme and poet Shri Kishan Dadhich extended vote of thanks.

Memorial Symposium on 15th death anniversary,2018
On May 17, 2018, a memorial symposium was organised at MLV Shramjeevi College to commemorate the 15th death anniversary of Professor Alam Shah Khan. The chairman of the symposium, senior writer Mr. Aabid Adib, said that Prof. Alam Shah Khan was a creator of progressive consciousness. He drew attention towards the sufferings of the oppressed and marginalized people. In the current scenario, when humanity is in danger, and democratic values are being sidelined his writings have become more relevant. As member of the Human Rights Commission, his articles on contemporary issues highlight the impediments in the functioning of the system. Dr. Tarana Parveen suggested the republication of his complete writings, Prof. Sudha Chaudhary, HOD Philosophy at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, expressed the need for collecting the memories of University professors and other employees for publication, Dr. Meenakshi Jain suggested compilation of his letters, Dr. Farhat Banu highlighted his personality and contributions to social life, Dr. Indira Jain suggested organizing a national symposium on his writings and encouraged dissemination of his writings to the general public, while Prof. Chandalia proposed gathering critical articles on his literature from fans and scholars throughout the country.
Memorial Symposium on First death anniversary,2004
A symposium was organized on the occasion of Prof. Alam Shah Khan's first death anniversary, on the topic "Prof. Alam Shah Khan's Creative Legacy". Renowned author Kamleshwar said that Prof. Alam Shah Khan's stories have been timeless in the world of literature. He is popular not only in Rajasthan, but also in distant south and foreign countries. His stories have the colors of regionalism and use vernacular language, he also made clear the effects of globalization in literature. Poet Nand Chaturvedi said that there is a glimpse of regionalism in Prof. Khan's stories. Qmar Mewari from Kankroli also shared various anecdotes of Prof. Khan's stories. Prof. Khan's daughter Dr. Tarana Parveen described the color schemes in his stories and said that in his personal life, he stood tall not just as a father but also in the role of a mother. PhD Researcher Hemendra Paneri compared the stories of Premchand with the stories of Prof. Khan. The symposium was chaired by Amar Singh Godara, member of the Rajasthan Human Rights Commission. As part of the event, the story "Rassi ka Saamp" by Prof. Khan was dramatically performed by Anahadnaad theater group in the direction of Mahesh Nayak.
